You may have seen 'chief box opener' Coco earlier inspecting the recent Amazon delivery, well....here's how it played out! ๐Ÿ˜

New kid on the block Diesel didn't want to miss out, so he had a go too. We're not sure Coco will be overly keen to relinquish her position as Diesel was more interested in sniffing the box rather than what was in it! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hi, it's homeless hound Coco ๐Ÿพ

Umm, I'm a little bit busy...but just wanted to say thank you to lovely supporter Ruth for sending us hounds these gifts from our Amazon Wishlist. We really appreciate every single person who sends us goodies, it's just sooooooooo exciting to investigate what has arrived (maybe I'll find a loving home in a box one day?! ๐Ÿ ).

I do share...honestly! ๐Ÿ˜

That is all for now....snuffle snuffle!

Love n' licks, Coco. โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ

In April we took part in the Pets Foundation Easter appeal at our partnered Pets at Home stores โ€“ Tiverton and Weymouth. This is an annual appeal run by Pets Foundation where we spend some time in each of our partnered stores as well as posting about the initiative on our social media pages. In return, we receive 50% of the donations taken at the store tills, with the remaining funds going towards the Pet Foundation grant programme. We have also been lucky recipients of grants from the scheme in the past. We have now received our pay out from the Pets Foundation, and are delighted to announce we have received a combined total of an AMAZING ยฃ1319.33! This just leaves us to say a few HUGE thank youโ€™sโ€ฆ. ๐Ÿพ To Pets Foundation for this wonderful scheme raising so much money for charitable causes.

We recently had the honour of being invited back to Not Just Pets Frome pet shop to raise awareness of our work. Our volunteers had a busy day welcoming a range of dogs to the stall and telling people all about the work we do here at Forever Hounds Trust. Thanks to the generous Frome shoppers they raised an amazing ยฃ157.94! On top of this, employee Wendy presented our volunteers with a cheque for ยฃ86 they had raised from a recent raffle for a giant octopus (won by one of our lovely supporters), and a painting she had done of a lurcher for our next auction! We'd like to say a few thank you's to everyone who made this happen: ๐Ÿพ To our wonderful volunteers and their gorgeous Ambassadogs for their time and dedication. ๐Ÿพ To everyone who took time to come and see our volunteers on the day, donating

Itโ€™s Mental Health Awareness Week, and did you know, caring for a dog can help our mental health in many ways, including: ๐Ÿพ Increasing your physical activity. ๐Ÿพ Providing companionship. ๐Ÿพ Reducing anxiety. ๐Ÿพ Helping you meet new people. ๐Ÿพ Adding structure to your day. But remember, itโ€™s not just all about you; your dog needs to have good mental health too, and that is something we are passionate about here at Forever Hounds Trust. Having a dog is a serious commitment; youโ€™ll need to have the time, money and energy for a dog, as well as a suitable home environment. Otherwise, it could have the opposite effect โ€“ both yours, and the dog's mental health could suffer. Would you like to introduce a dog into your life to help your mental health, but arenโ€™t sure if the long-term commitment of adopting is right for you? Fostering is a great

Hi, it's homeless hound Coco! ๐Ÿพ

I obviously spend a lot of time at the Centre, so it's nice to have a change of scenery and go on an offsite walkies! ๐Ÿ™‚

The team already know I am happy walking in this sort of environment, so that's where they take me to make me happy. They are also continually assessing me to make sure nothing has changed - after all you never really know what you might encounter!

But, as you can see I love this walk, here I can say hello at a distance to other dogs, and they aren't going to run up to me. Perfect!

Have you got walkies like this where you live? I'd love for you to show me around! Hint hint! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Love n' licks, Coco โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ

A greyhound named Scout loved to doze,
Curled up with his paws on his nose.
But then with a zoom,
He'd rocket through the room
But back to his bed he soon goes! ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ›Œ๐Ÿ•

It's #NationalLimerickDay!
