Support us and Help the Hounds

Forever Hounds Trust rescues, cares for and homes greyhounds, lurchers and other sighthounds. These wonderful dogs desperately need our help, having been neglected, abandoned, abused, or in the case of racing greyhounds, retired from the tracks.

We are independent of the greyhound racing industry and rely entirely on the generosity of supporters like you, together with general donations, legacies and gifts from Trusts and corporate supporters, to cover the substantial costs of saving these beautiful hounds.

It costs us on average £800 to fund every dog’s journey from rescue to loving family pet, and our kennel spaces are full 365 days a year.
With the help of our supporters and their amazing fundraising efforts, we have:

  • found loving homes for over 10,000 dogs across the country
  • given safe shelter for dogs in kennels or foster homes while they await their forever homes
  • provided essential medical care
  • rescued dogs in desperate situations in the UK and Ireland
  • provided expert behavioural support and advice.

The demand for us to take in dogs continues to grow, with many more dogs in need of specialist veterinary care. We need you to help us meet the challenge of helping as many dogs as possible well into the future.

There are lots of ways you can help us raise money so that we can help even more dogs. Just click through to whatever takes your fancy on the side panel – from sponsoring a Forever Hounds Trust dog or organising your own event to donating towards our latest appeal to help a hound in need. You can also really help us budget for our kennel and veterinary bills by signing up to become a Friend.

If you are interested in volunteering for Forever Hounds Trust – you can find detail on everything from getting sponsored for your own challenge event through to running a street collection or helping at one of our events here.

Your help and support mean the world to us and to all the hounds we rescue and care for. Thank you!
