Dogs like Rio…
At just 8 months old this whippet lurcher pup came into our care in a terrible state. We found several injuries including broken bones in both his hind legs and his teeth were in an awful condition for such a young dog.
We don’t know how he got these injuries, but we do know he must have been in pain for much of his short life.
Rio underwent extensive surgery, physio and rehabiliation. It was only with help from our Supporters we were able to cover these unexpected costs.
Despite his suffering and neglect, Rio is learning to love life and enjoy the love and safety of his Forever home.
When we rescue a dog we don’t know how much support they will need…
