Important: Please read our latest COVID guidelines before you apply to adopt this lovely hound.

Teddy is a very handsome two year old ex racing greyhound who is now looking for a forever home of his own.

This lovely lad is a sensitive soul who can be easily overwhelmed by new environments – it took him about a week to really feel comfortable in his foster home, so we expect this to be the case going as he moves to his forever home. However, as you can see from the below picture, he is now completely relaxed!

Teddy is sociable around people, but likes things to be on his terms and can become overwhelmed if he feels smothered. He is confident and happy with his foster carers, but can become quite attached so suffers with separation anxiety when left alone. He will shout a lot, so needs someone at home most of the time so he doesn’t get too distressed. Any time he is left will need to be built up gradually, following a behaviour management plan that we will provide support for.

Teddy has proven himself to be sociable with other dogs he has met, so would benefit from having another medium to large dog in the home to show him the ropes, help build his confidence and provide him with some company. However, this isn’t essential if all other homing criteria is met.

He has also impressed us by being completely unphased by passing traffic on a busy road! Therefore, he could potentially live in a suburban environment pending further assessment.

This lovely young lad will make a cracking companion for his special someone. Please get in touch if it can be you!
