Handsome Swift is a lovely lad with heaps of energy! This 5 year old greyhound is enthusiastic about everything he does especially if it involves his very favourite things in life – food or toys!

As he is such an enthusiastic boy, when Swift arrived he did sometimes get a little bouncy/strong on the lead. As he has got to know his handlers, he has become an absolute delight to walk, and hasn’t pulled at all. He does get very excited when getting ready to go, but otherwise is now walking beautifully! We don’t know if this will change with all the excitement of settling into his new home, so it should be borne in mind that he is a strong boy, and ongoing training in this area could be beneficial.

Swift has probably never lived in a home, nor had any training, so he would definitely benefit from going to some basic obedience training classes. We would expect him to do really well, as he is such a clever boy who loves his food, so positive training, with lots of treats should be an enjoyable experience for all involved.Swift would like his new family to be around for most of the day initially to help him settle as this will be a new experience for him. He would also love a secure garden to be able to mooch around in and even better if it’s big enough to stretch his legs and play! He LOVES doing zoomies, so he would be super happy if his family rented a large secure field, so he can really go all out!

Swift could possibly live with another doggy friend, but this would be dependant on how introductions go, and will probably require more than one visit the to the kennels in Gloucestershire to ensure the dogs are compatible.

Swift is such a lovely boy who has won the hearts of everyone looking after him, all he needs to do now is win yours…and ‘swift’ly! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you can offer this handsome lad a home, you won’t regret it!
