Patch is 4 year old (approx.) lurcher mix, believed to be a bull lurcher.

Despite having a bad start in life, he is a beautiful and clever boy who loves to learn and is very responsive to treat training. He loves throwing toys around….zoomies + toys = Happy Patch! He has gained the nickname ‘cuddle monster’, for his love of diving on people and covering them in licks and kisses! He does get attached to people and likes to be with them, but isn’t demanding of attention.

Unfortunately, Patch was clearly not socialised in early life, and can get overwhelmed in busy areas with lots of other dogs around, so he needs a home in a quiet area and without other pets. However, we feel he is ready to have some walking pals to help him get used to other dogs. He can struggle in new situations, so we use treats and toys to help him cope.

He is a very active boy who absolutely loves going for walks, so needs an equally active family to help him burn off his energy, and then he’s happy to have a snooze and relax!

Patch sometimes doesn’t realise his own size and strength, and can be bouncy and boisterous, so isn’t suitable to live with young children. Patch will make a great companion for someone with a calm household, has lots of time for walkies and playtime in the garden, enjoys chilled out evenings and has an interest in training. He would also benefit from someone who has bull breed/lurcher experience.
