Kenny is a 4 year old ex-racing greyhound looking for his new home. He’s a sweet, sociable boy who comes across as very confident and outgoing but can actually be quite unsure at times. Kenny is looking for a suburban home, since built up areas with a lot of traffic worry him. He is really scared of loud bangs such as shooting or fireworks. He is very clean in his kennel so should pick up house training fairly quickly, and he travels well in the car. Kenny is a strong boy but walks well on the lead.

Kenny enjoys walking with other dogs out and about, but doesn’t like to share his food, toys or bed with others so needs a home as the only pet. He isn’t always keen on other dogs entering his personal space on walks and will tell them off (though he is more tolerant of females than males!) so prefers the company of polite, calm dogs. He would prefer not to be walked in areas where he would be approached by off-lead dogs. Kenny has shown friendly behaviour towards smaller dogs but does find them quite novel and exciting at the moment, so needs some further socialisation.

Once Kenny gets to know you he is affectionate and loving, but he can be a little unsure of new people (especially men) to start with and may choose to keep his distance. This means that he may need a few visits with his new family before he’s ready to go home for good. Although Kenny enjoys gentle fuss and affection he is less sure of being hugged, cuddled and kissed so would prefer a home without children.
