Arty is a handsome 3 year old saluki cross who is still under assessment, however, he has already proven himself to be social with everyone he has met.

Whilst he is comfortable in people’s company, he can be a little uncertain around other dogs when out and about. Adopters who have an awareness of canine body language will be able to check he is coping with any situation he might find himself in, and this will help prevent any potential reactivity. Arty is still being assessed as to whether he can live with another dog.

Arty will need a semi-rural or rural home, as although he enjoys sniffing and exploring on his walks, he has displayed some anxiety with passing traffic and sudden noises. He will need adopters, preferably with previous sighthound experience who are committed to following his training and management plan. The good news is that Arty responds really well to both food rewards and verbal praise as he is keen to please.
